The firm’s purchase of Acompli gave it a major player in the third-party email space, while Sunrise has long been a popular choice for those seeking an improved calendar app. A Wunderlist purchase would give Microsoft another key third-party app as it seeks to become all things to all people in the productivity space. The Journal cites sources ‘familiar with the matter,’ but neither Microsoft nor the German start up 6Wunderkinder GmbH, has confirmed the reports as of yet. The Wall Street Journal reports the deal, which apparently falls somewhere between £65m and £130m, will see Wunderlist join the likes of Accompli and caldendar app Sunrise as recent additions to the Microsoft stable. Microsoft has reportedly splashed out between $100 and $200 million on the developer behind the exceedingly popular to-do list app Wunderlist.
